After a review of publications it was concluded: "Whether the amount of carbohydrate ingested was small or large, more frequent feeds maintained more stable plasma glucose levels. Therefore, if carbohydrate supplementation occurs during exercise the frequency of feeding should be considered of the utmost importance."
