Cadet squadrons at the US Air Force Academy were studied. It was found that an intervention program designed to develop interpersonal skills and group cohesiveness resulted in both a positive climate and increased performance variables.
Implication. Cooperative activities for groups, such as goal-setting, task-content determination, and performance evaluations, are very likely to elevate training and competitive performance standards.
