CRITICAL VELOCITY TESTS
Weir, J. P., & Florence, S. L. (1996). Number of trials necessary for the critical velocity test. Medicine and Science in Exercise and Sports, 28(5), Supplement abstract 91.
The critical velocity test simultaneously measures aerobic (critical velocity - CV) and anaerobic running capacity (ARC). Using three trials may be sufficient to determine CV and ARC. Two trials at slow speeds may yield values that are too unreliable.
