AN UNSUCCESSFUL TEAM-BUILDING INTERVENTION

The influence of a psychological intervention program focused on team-building on cohesion in male soccer teams was assessed. Ss were divided into team-building, control, and attention-placebo control groups. Measurements were performed at the beginning of the season and after an eight-week intervention.

The team-building intervention was unsuccessful.

Implication. The selection of a psychological intervention to achieve a specific purpose is critical for demonstrating successful applications. In this study, the intervention was unsuccessful.
