LINK BETWEEN POMS AND EXERCISE HAS YET TO BE DEFINED

Berger, B. G. (2000). Exercise and Mood: A selective review and synthesis of research employing the Profile of Mood States. Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, 12, 69-92.

A review of the POMS literature lead to the opinion that there is no conclusive evidenced that identifies a single mechanism or group of mechanisms as consistently influencing an exercise-mood relationship. Avenues for future and more definitive research were described.

Implication. The conceptual link between POMS and exercise ahs yet to be defined.
