US Atlanta Olympians and US Nagano Olympians were surveyed by rating how particular variables influenced their Olympic performances. The following were perceived to be of greatest influence:

Implication. These findings supported the conclusions of earlier works and published inventories about athlete experiences in sports. They suggest general emphases for mental skills development.
