IMAGERY ABILITY MEASUREMENT

Hall, C., Pongrac, J., & Buckholz, E. (9185). The measurement of imagery ability. Human Movement Science, 4, 107-118.

Reference is given to the Movement Imagery Questionnaire as a means of assessing an individual's imagery preferences and capabilities. It can be obtained by contacting Dr. Hall at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada.

Implication. Not all individuals have the same capacity to imagine scenes and events. A procedure can be rendered more effective if the type of imagery used is tailored to an individual's preference and if preliminary training is involved to increase imagery characteristics.
