This study determined if N-acetylcysteine amide and L-ergothioneine delayed skeletal muscle fatigue in vitro.

Implication. Neither N-acetylcysteine amide nor L-ergothioneine delayed skeletal muscle fatigue in vitro. Those compounds are not useful for improving human exercise performance.
